About the Author

Ron Baron has spent over thirty years serving clients in the health and beauty industry, helping them transform their well-being and perspectives. In 2005, he faced a life-altering near-death experience, being given only three to six months to live. This profound event reshaped his understanding of health, resilience, and the human capacity to heal. It motivated him to share his insights with others, teaching and coaching individuals on how to navigate significant life and health challenges. Drawing from both personal experience and decades of professional practice, Ron created the Confronting Disease with Lifestyle handbooks to guide people in strengthening their immune systems, making informed lifestyle choices, and embracing holistic approaches to improve health, vitality, and overall quality of life.

Author Statement

"This Three Handbook Series speaks to disease in general, although the prime focus has been on people with cancer and inadequate immune systems. Unless we are born with or have a genetic predisposition to a particular disease, most diseases are linked to a poor lifestyle and therefore a compromised immune system.  As an example, a healthy body houses millions of cancer cells that modern medicine is unable to detect with blood tests or equipment scans. The miraculous design of the immune system functions to keep disease under control. It is when we unknowingly compromise our immune system, that cancer cell production skyrockets into the billions, allowing for modern medicinal technology to detect it.

The Handbooks have been created to help enlighten and educate you in understandable, straightforward language. Although they are easy to read and understand, they are not for the faint at heart. Throughout the pages, you will gain a clearer perspective which authentically confronts the contributing factors to the quality of your life. By the end of the series, you will have the knowledge you need to live a life that is perhaps better than you would have imagined.

The way to read the Handbooks is not through the eyes of a cancer or sick patient, but rather as someone who has not fully understood how miraculous the human body is. Mostly every human biology is wired to heal itself, and one of its greatest assets to doing just that, is our immune system.  The series comes to an end with teaching you about the five components to a healthy lifestyle and leaves you empowered to self-advocate and redirect your life to honoring your health and wellness more easily and comprehensively."

Handbook I:
Confronting Cancer
with Greater Awareness

This handbook applies to all types of cancer and treatments, with a particular focus on head and neck cancers due to the severe, life-altering challenges that often persist after treatment. It invites readers to approach the topic with curiosity and compassion, recognizing that science is an ongoing inquiry rather than a collection of fixed truths. Despite being used for over a century, radiation and chemotherapy remain the primary treatments, generating billions of dollars annually while leaving many patients with long-term complications.

Head and neck cancers affect regions from the mouth to the base of the neck and are often linked to alcohol, tobacco, toxins, and chronic infections. Early detection greatly improves survival, yet radiation fibrosis continues to damage tissue years after therapy, causing progressive health issues that modern medicine cannot yet prevent. Many survivors are left without follow-up care once they surpass the expected life span after treatment.

The handbook advocates for more humane, less harmful cancer care, urging medical science to evolve beyond damaging radiation protocols. It is written for anyone affected by cancer—patients, survivors, caregivers, and loved ones—offering both scientific understanding and heartfelt guidance toward prevention, healing, and a more compassionate future in cancer treatment.

Handbook II:
Confronting Disease and Lifestyle
with Greater Awareness

This handbook is designed to guide readers toward critical thinking, informed decision-making, and a deeper understanding of cancer and health. It emphasizes the importance of appreciating the scientific process, recognizing that discoveries and protocols are continually evolving. While modern medicine provides advanced cancer diagnostics and treatments, it often overlooks the profound impact of lifestyle factors—nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress management, and meditation—on overall health and cancer prevention. Physicians typically focus on medication rather than holistic approaches, despite evidence that diet and immune function directly influence cancer progression.

The text highlights contradictions in healthcare environments, such as hospitals promoting sugar-laden foods while recognizing that sugar fuels cancer growth. Readers are encouraged to consider lifestyle adjustments, including diet, physical activity, mental wellness, and environmental choices, as essential tools for improving health and quality of life. Early detection, immune system support, and reducing exposure to toxins like alcohol and tobacco are critical to minimizing cancer risk and enhancing treatment outcomes.

By demystifying cancer and encouraging proactive participation, the handbook fosters empowerment, patience, and compassion—for oneself and others. It serves as a reference, a guide for revisiting complex concepts, and a resource to share knowledge with loved ones, helping readers navigate the journey of cancer with awareness, resilience, and informed choice.

Handbook III:
Confronting Cancer with Nutrition as Medicine

This handbook emphasizes the importance of living a healthy lifestyle to naturally strengthen the immune system, reduce disease risk, and support the body’s natural healing abilities. It identifies five critical components—Nutrition, Exercise, Meditation/Prayer, Sleep, and Stress Management—that work together to maintain optimal health. When these areas are properly tended, the body is better equipped to prevent illness, including cancer, and to recover from past challenges.

Nutrition is highlighted as a cornerstone of health, supporting digestion, nutrient absorption, and overall immune function. Evidence-based insights provide guidance for making informed choices, helping readers adopt habits that enhance physical and mental well-being. Maintaining a strong immune system requires consistency, awareness, and openness to new perspectives, empowering individuals to take control of their health.

This handbook reframes health as a proactive journey, where cause-and-effect relationships between lifestyle choices and well-being are clear. By committing to these principles, anyone can build resilience, improve quality of life, and thrive as a healthy, vibrant individual.
